Geometry Wars: Galaxies is a Wii update to a classic old-school style arcade shooter. As such, the primary objective of the game is to rack up as high a score as possible while avoiding death. The controls for moving the ship and aiming the weapons are independent. Despite its stylized simple graphics, the game supports 480p widescreen, simultaneous multiplayer, and online scoreboards. I haven’t started the game yet, but it’ll be in the queue until I can clear some more open games.
