Level-5; 2008
Late last night, I completed the final chapter of Professor Layton and the Curious Village, triggering the end credits. I’ve also solved every puzzle in the main game except for the inn decoration side-quest. I have solved a couple of the extra puzzles in the bonus section, but not all of them (my total number of completed puzzles is 122). The game took 9:49 over six or seven days to complete… and much of this time was spent staring blankly at sliding blocks.
With this game out of the way, Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV are the portable priorities among my open games.

I hated those sliding block puzzles. The only puzzle I have left in the whole game is a really hard one.

The one you do in the tower really frustrated me because I knew I’d done the exact same one sometime before when I was a kid. I got it after a while though. I haven’t tried the one in the bonus section yet.

Great, great game. It’s actually one of my favorite games. I cannot wait for the second one in the series as it looks sooooo much better. You should look it up sometime. But I still have a few puzzles to beat, although all of the main puzzles are beaten with 65 hint coins left, I still have at least ten more bonus puzzles to complete.

Yep, this was enjoyable enough that I’d get the sequel for sure. My only worry would be that they keep using the same kind of puzzles just with different configurations. But that’s OK, I suppose, if the mystery/storyline part is good enough.
